We currently have seven black Friesians and seven white Lipizzaners available for weddings, funerals, and events. These horses have been sourced and bred for their gentle personalities and elegant appearances.
Our grey Lipizzaners are named Mango, Matty, Pluto, Bruno, Sultan, Rocco, and Reg. The black Friesians are named Jack, Jark, Menear, G, Hearke, Jokel, and Quintus.
Lipizzaners
This rare baroque breed is best known for the highly trained white stallions of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. Lipizzaners represent over 450 years of careful breeding, which was founded on the selection of superb horses gathered from all over the world. They not only possess beauty and nobility but also a rare combination of courage, strength, ability, temperament, and intelligence.
Lipizzaners can be found beyond the borders of what was once the Austro-Hungarian Empire. As a rare breed, the number of foals born each year is correspondingly small. We are fortunate to have seven beautiful Lipizzaner geldings whose ages range from 5 to 14 years.
Friesians
Friesian stallions, known for their striking black coats and elegant presence, have a rich history in driving. Originally bred in the Netherlands for draft work, their natural elegance and powerful gaits have made them popular as carriage horses. Today, Friesians are highly sought after for driving, particularly in show competitions. Their temperament is typically friendly, easy-going, and willing to please. Versatility is one of their hallmarks; they excel in driving but are equally content taking friends out for a leisurely ride or a Sunday drive.
Friesians are also a popular breed for filmmaking, often fitting the part in historical dramas and battle reenactments due to their calm and trainable nature. Two of our older Friesians even appeared in “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Our horses not only enjoy being driven but also love being ridden by our grooms on their days off.
We also have several of our older boys in our 12-acre field now enjoying retired life after their driving career.
